At an elevation ranging from 600 to 1,000 meters above sea level, Dak Nong enjoys a perfect altitude for coffee cultivation. This elevation provides the necessary cool temperatures and consistent rainfall crucial for the growth and development of coffee plants. The region’s hilly terrain, coupled with its rich volcanic soil, creates an ideal environment for coffee trees to thrive.
One of the most significant factors contributing to Dak Nong’s suitability for coffee cultivation is its climate. The province experiences a tropical monsoon climate characterized by distinct wet and dry seasons. The ample rainfall during the wet season, typically from May to October, ensures sufficient moisture for the coffee plants. Meanwhile, the dry season, which spans from November to April, offers the ideal conditions for coffee cherries to ripen, harvested and drying in sun.
